At The Leader Mill (TLM), our Cadets will be trained to become Leaders who are both men of authority and men under authority. At TLM we believe that all throughout society there exists a tremendous void of sound leadership which in turn produces chaos and dysfunction within all sorts of organizations including the workplace, the classroom, the community, the household, and the Church. Without solid leadership, a unit becomes directionless and scattered becoming incapable of fulfilling its mission and covering its responsibilities.
TLM Cadets will be trained to become men who will respectfully handle authority through the assumption of responsibility. This is a crucial element in earning the respect of followers. Incrementally, Cadets will be given greater amounts of responsibility with increasing levels of consequence. Cadets will practice these disciplines in the workplace, within TLM, and in cooperation with the local Church.
TLM is looking for Mentors who excel in personal management and self-discipline, and who practice organizational management in the workplace and community. They are characterized as willing to volunteer to solve complex problems and see the solutions to their completion. These Mentors are conscientious and derive esteem in seeing teams succeed while sharing the accolades.
Leadership Mentors will interact with Cadets in a slightly different manner than other Mentors in that their duties will necessarily require more involvement and time commitment. Unlike most other Mentors whose commitments are limited to approximately 4 hours per year, Leadership Mentors will nurture an ongoing and frequent connection with Cadets.
If you identify with this mission and have the heart of teacher, we would like to talk to you about your involvement in TLM mentoring. All Leadership Mentors will work in units with no fewer than 3 members. They will share in rotation the responsibilities of accountability with the Cadets and take turns in initiating in their outreach and follow-up with the Cadets’ progress.
